Equip Sessions are designed to provide ongoing opportunities throughout the year for growth in key areas of ministry. Each gathering includes a shared meal, focused discussion on a specific topic, and curated resources to support your ministry. Whenever possible, we will welcome guest speakers who bring particular expertise to each subject.

Cost is $12 per session and includes lunch and additional resources.

The Timothy Project provides biblical and theological education. Classes are open to anyone. Some classes offer master’s level course credit through The Equip Network of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Classes are typically offered in a semester format and will include topics like the following:

  • Bible Exposition I: Hermeneutics & Preparation
  • Bible Exposition II: Communication & Delivery
  • Administration & Education in the Local Church
  • Evangelism: Nature & Practice
  • Christian Leadership
  • Pastoral Ministry & Leadership
  • Christian Missions: Principles & Practice
  • Bible Doctrine and Theology
  • Teaching Practicum: The Art of Teaching

The Timothy Project Cohort meets once a month for ten months to offer ongoing training, prayer, and accountability for young or new ministers. Come join us as we explore topics such as sermon planning, sermon delivery, leading a staff, coordinating volunteers, developing a missions strategy, planning for funerals and weddings, and many more. Membership costs $120 annually and includes lunch, training, and free resources for 10 monthly meetings. Registration and payment deadline is August 1, 2026.

The Timothy Project offers internships and residencies in specific areas of ministry (paid and unpaid) under the supervision of a member of the pastoral or ministerial staff of CHBC.

Internships: part-time ministry options for the summer or the typical school year

Residents: full-time positions as part of the CHBC staff

The Timothy Project partners with and prepares people called to vocational ministry and cross-cultural missions through intentional mentoring and participation in training modules.
